voluntary work and placements; mention the employer's name, your job title and how long you worked there, as well as giving a brief description of what you did in each job

Hi
there! My name is Melissa Lorzar, and I’d love to take a couple of minutes to
tell you why hiring me as your language intern
will benefit your organization.
Currently,
I’m completing my junior year at Univalle University. I’ll be getting my Bachelor of Business Administration
degree, with a major in marketing, in spring
2020. My coursework has provided me with a strong foundation in marketing, as I’ve already completed courses in the
management of promotion, consumer behavior, and business
information systems design.
In the last two years, I’ve been able to augment
my education with hands-on experience, attained through two previous summer internships. In my first internship, I focused on the company’s
website, doing analysis,
design, and optimization. They saw an 11% increase in
traffic by the end of the summer. My second
internship, at a design agency, had me creating and distributing marketing materials, such as press releases and
newsletters. Because of this, I know the basics of Adobe Creative Suite, which is a huge asset. Along with my
technical skills, I’ve worked with a
diversity of people in a range of roles, so I’m a true team-player. My supervisors have all praised
my relationship-building and communication skills.
Finally,
I simply love languages and marketing. I love making an impact, spreading the word, and seeing the change for the business.
I’m dedicated and passionate, and I
guarantee that you won’t regret hiring me. Thanks so much for taking the time
to listen!

Remember that you must be honest, so that you can have a real evaluation, which will
help you improve your academic performance or continue using the strategies that have
given you good results in your studies at home.
STEP 3 PRACTICE
Please follow the instructions below: It is to be able to self-evaluate your academic
performance in the first term.
Step One: I invite you to read, analyze and understand each session of the rubric, before
answering.
Step two: When you have understood each statement that is written in the rubric, mark with
an X, the box of the evaluation criteria that expresses the way you believe, which is your
performance in the different aspects and elaboration of the virtual activities in the English
subject.
Step 3: After you have marked the criteria with which you self-assessed your academic
performance whether it is low, basic, high or superior. (Never, Sometimes, almost always
and always), please add up the total of the lows, basics, highs or superiors that you marked.
And send me this result to my email if you cannot enter to the programmed synchronic
meeting for this week.
STEP 4 EVALUATION
Now, it is time for you to put into practice what have you learned
Each standard has 4 evaluation standards (never, sometimes, almost always and always),
which describe the different possible ways, how each student has performed in different
aspects and how they have developed the virtual activities of the subject.
The purpose of the rubric is for you to carry out your self-evaluation, for which you must
choose in each standard, the evaluation criterion closest to your reality.
As you already know the result of each of the evaluated criteria, and the final sum. Please
write a text in English where you the result and what do you think about the result obtained
in the self-evaluation of your academic performance.
For example, if you mark more statements on the Superior scale, what do you think about
How do you feel or on the contrary, if you mark more statements on LOW, what are you
planning to do to improve it?
Remember to send the results and the written text with your comments to the email:

STEP 1 EXPLORATION
Last week you did different activities using the present, past and future tense. This week you
are going to continue using the same grammatical structures.
It is part of my life it shows me the way to go it supported me from the beginning and when things didn't work out well. It taught me not to give up and kept me going it helped me understand people and to get real friends, friends who can be trusted and who also trust me It helped me understand that all people are equal it made me stronger it taught me it's not about being strong or weak about winning or losing. it's about discovering ourselves, it gave me a lot. We share our victory we'll always be together. Sport is my life |
If
you got time watched the video and try to read and understand it while the
video is on.
The following is a text where you can find some important views about sports and how it come help the youth people to stay safe and get the best in their lives.
Bo Hanson said that “My Philosophy on sport is that it is a
vehicle to help teach young people some great skills so they can become
successful contributors to society.”
Sport helps youths to become better contributors to society. Research shows a child’s involvement in sport helps them to improve their social interaction, increase their confidence, and improve their listening skills and health. Participation in sport is linked to higher grades, lower dropout rate, reduced truancy and lower crime rates.
This manifests in some compelling statistics such as:
· 95% of
Fortune 500 executives participated in high school athletics.
· 96% of dropouts in 14 school districts in seven regions of the nation were not participating in an athletic program.
Young people have their own reasons for staying in
sport. Youths, play sport to have fun, belong to a group, find excitement and
gain recognition. It allows them to improve their skills and learn new ones,
become fit, and find “success” (which is not shown on the scoreboard alone).
When
children are playing sport, they are learning how to interact with the world
around them and the people in it.In sport, children learn how to
contribute to something bigger than themselves.
